I had my doubts about this movie the first time I saw it - I didn't think I would like it at all. Instead I absolutely LOVE The Italian Job and couldn't wait to own it on DVD so I could watch it again and again!

Good for a few laughs, Old School (Widescreen Unrated Edition) was definitely worth watching.

We watched Showtime tonight with Eddie Murphy and Robert DeNiro. Not bad - a few good laughs, things blowing up, a good way to unwind. Sometimes you just need something that doesn't require a lot of thought.

Good stuff, as always. I can't handle the scene where Kathy Bates hobbles him though. *shiver*

I never wanted to see this movie when it was in the movie theater. I thought the previews looked lame and that it just looked bad overall. So when I ended up really enjoying it, I was pleasantly surprised. Good for some laughs, and it makes you think too.

I had heard so many negative things about this movie, I wasn't sure what to expect. In the end, I liked it. I found it quite amusing, and a lesson in how we should try to look at people - seeing their inner beauty.

We watched Kate & Leopold tonight, and while it was cute, it was nowhere near as good as I was expecting. Several people have told me that it was great & that I would really enjoy it, so I have looked forward to watching it for a long time.

I finally watched Kymberlie's copy of Ocean's Eleven (2001): George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Steven Soderbergh and it was great!

Naomi hadn't seen the extended version of LOTR, so we decided to watch it while she was here to visit. Fabulous as always, can't get enough of this film!

Have you ever watched a movie, not expect much of it, and discover it was really good? That was the case with this movie. I bought it for Jason, but in the end I might have enjoyed it more than he did! It had a fantastic story line which I wasn't expecting at all - I thought it would be nothing but sword fights and so forth.
Good for older kids, it does have some graphic violence in it - we are talking sword fights after all! But a classic story line and a history lesson all rolled in to one.

Mike called from Blockbuster to give me the list of movie options, and one of them was this obscure movie that everyone should see! It's the "Office Space" of the temp and legal secretary world. It is absolutely hysterical - I must get this one on DVD! I had to watch it a second time before we returned it to the store, and I laughed just as hard the second time as I did the first!

This move was ok. The scenery was great, but the acting was somewhat flat. I would watch it on a Sunday afternoon on HBO, but I wouldn't pay money to rent it.

Spent the Sunday afternoon watching On the Line with Lance Bass, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Joey Fatone, Eric Bross. Yes, an N'Sync movie ... and I liked it. I thought it was pretty funny, and I don't care who laughs at me for it!

It's not often that I disagree with Rotten Tomatoes, but I do when it comes to Clockstoppers. They gave it a rating of 30% (Rotten) and don't have a lot of good things to say about it. I thought it was a great movie to watch with my 10 year old son - we both enjoyed it. Was it the best movie ever? No - but it was pretty good!

The GOF ("gaggle of friends") went to Kenny & Elaine's house after dinner to watch The Others. I really enjoyed it - the only thing that could have made it better would have been a man to snuggle up against during the scary parts! Twists and turns ... I love a plot like that! Good movie! I found a copy of Bandits on sale in the "Previously Viewed" racks at Blockbuster so I had to pick it up. Good thing too, since the opportunity came up to watch it tonight!

Mike came over to watch "The Wizard of Oz" (which he has never seen!) but I couldn't find my copy of the DVD - so "Moulin Rouge" was a good back-up plan since he hadn't seen that one either!

Jason & I borrowed my Mom's DVD and watched The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring tonight. Viggo Mortensen is still hot. Hot, hot, hot. I enjoyed the movie even more tonight then I did the first time because I could follow along this time around with who was who and what was going on. This is one of those movies you could just watch again and again...

One of my favorite movies from last year, I needed something fun to watch this afternoon while I did some housework. Such a hysterically funny movie - did just what I needed and made me laugh. Also watched the "Trivia" version from the Features section which is a lot like Pop-up Video for the movie!
Have I mentioned lately that I adore Luke Wilson? Yummm...

School ended on Thursday, so on Friday Jason & I headed to Wal-Mart to pick up the widescreen version of Harry Potter. It was just as good as when I saw it in the theater last fall. I think I might have enjoyed it even more since I have read the books now so I know who the characters are and so forth.
Harry Potter rocks!

I'm such a sap. It's just too funny - the end of this movie made me cry. It was a really good movie, I was pretty impressed. There was a lot of profanity in it - the took the whole "cussing like a sailor" thing pretty seriously. It would be a good movie for Jason to see if it wasn't full cussing like that though. Maybe in a few years.

I absolutely love this movie. It cracks me up every time I see it. Guaranteed smiles. Every time I see it I start to consider hunting down my ex's and wondering what would happen if I did. Then reality kicks in and I realize what a bad idea that would be.

Last weekend while looking for something new to watch on the movie channels, I saw that this movie was coming on later that night. I decided to record it so I could watch it. I started to watch it the other night but just couldn't stay awake for it, so I finished watchinig it today. It was ok. Not something I would want to own on DVD, but I got a lot of laughs out of it. I didn't think the ending was quite right, but I'm not sure what should have changed to make it better. All in all, worth a few hours on a Saturday afternoon.

This was one of those movies that I thought I would never like. I didn't see it in the theaters, but as Jason grew older I finally watched it with him - and I love it. We have it on DVD and decided to watch it tonight. I didn't realize that the cop guy from Law & Order, Criminal Intent, Vincent D'Onofrio, was in the movie - he's the alien Edgar. It amuses me when I see actors in movies where I least expect them.
Can't wait for MIB2 to be released this summer!

This was a good way to spend a few hours on a Saturday afternoon, but it wasn't necessarily one of the best movies I've ever seen. It was a touching movie though, and the story was good. I'd watch it again if it was on one of the movie channels, but not something I'm likely to run out and buy.

Generally I agree with the rating that Rotten Tomatoes gives to a movie. This time I don't. I thought this was a very funny movie - but then again, maybe it has to do with my place emotionally in life. I liked it. If it was on on a Sunday afternoon, I'd watch it again.

I have a huge issue with Cameron Diaz dancing to "Baby Got Back" when she has absolutely no butt at all. This movie was somewhat blah and bland ... I would tolerate it if it was on again, but I wouldn't set out to watch it intentionally.

Good movie, but ... interesting. And not really one that you can watch twice, you know? I might though - just to see what I pick up on the second time that I missed the first time. I'll give it 4 stars though because it was an original concept in it's filmmaking techniques.

I would have NEVER rated it that highly. I did discover that the second time I watched it was better then the first, but I still didn't think it was that good. It made me cry a little bit, earning it an extra star.

Love, love, love this movie. Love it. Love it. The first time I saw this movie, Naomi & I got to the theater late and we ended up sitting in the front row. It was like an amazing psychedelic trip (not that I would know what that is really like, but still...) with the brilliant colors and the fantastic music. The movie was so good I returned on June 26, 2001 to see it again! Then I bought the soundtrack and Kymberlie & I exchanged the DVD for our Christmas presents!
