Jemima J
by Jane Green

I've just started reading Jemima J: A Novel About Ugly Ducklings and Swans and so far it's really a good book!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
by J.K. Rowling

Book 2 of the series. Harry is older and wiser and learning new things. The magic continues on from the first book.

Shopaholic Takes Manhatten
by Sophie Kinsella

This book was good, but it took the story line of the first one just a bit too far. After awhile you just want to slap her & reminder her that money doesn't grow on trees.

Summer Sisters
by Judy Blume

A book that can make me laugh and make me cry is always a good book in my opinion. This is one of those books that I could read over and over - it's that good. Not surprising considering it was written by Judy Blume. She has always been one of my favorite authors - even back when I was 9 or 10 years old reading her children's books.

Good in Bed
by Jennifer Weiner

Fun book to read. Sure, some of the story line is a little far-fetched, but overall the book is great!

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
by J.K. Rowlings

I waited until after I saw the movie to read the book. I prefer it that way - then I already have a mental image of the characters, how they look, how they sound. Any time I read the book first and then see the movie I absolutely hate the movie because no one looks like I thought they should. This was not the case with Harry Potter! Loved them both!

Desecration: Antichrist Takes the Throne
by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins

I've enjoyed every book in the Left Behind series. Amazing and thought provoking.

The Brethren
by John Grisham

Difficult to read because of the terrorism in the book and the conspiracy theories - I was reading this book on September 11th and I had to put it down for a month or so - it was just too scary considering what was going on in real life at the same time. Good book overall though - and it gave me a lot to think about.

Confessions of a Shopaholic
by Sophie Kinsella

I liked this book even better then Bridget Jones's Diary. Very similar in some ways, but this one was even funnier!

The Bone Collector
by Jeffery Deaver

I have yet to find a Deaver book that I haven't enjoyed. This book is great!

Available at Amazon.

The Testament
by John Grisham

This book was so hard to "get in to" that I had to push myself to read it. Once I did it was a pretty good book, but I'm not sure if it was worth the struggle.

Available at Amazon.

9 Steps to Financial Freedom
by Suze Orman

Another one of the books I keep trying to get through, but I never quite manage to find the time...
